Wrigley’s Doublemint and Spearmint are being launched in 15 stick formats. Available from April 9, the new packs will replace the current 10 stick packs. A 150% reduction in outer size (8 packets versus the current 20) will present retailers with a lower stock holding opportunity, and a new single, rather than double, facing on the gum unit means more space for other lines. Wrigley’s Spearmint has grown by 16% year-on-year in Independents and Symbols over the last 12 weeks, claims the group.
