Children’s soft drink brand Panda is to re-launch with a fresh new look in response to popular demand from UK mums.
The new packaging design for Panda’s range of juice drinks, flavoured waters and squash is aimed at communicating the brand’s healthier positioning to ‘pragmatic mums’ of 4-8-year-old children.
A new logo and Panda character has been created to “inject a strong element of fun and playfulness,” said Panda brand manager Nina Uttley.
Panda flavoured waters will also be differentiated with a new name ‘Panda Splash’ .
The newly-branded range will be launched on June 1, with availability extended to wholesalers such as Makro and Bobby’s from July. The blackcurrant flavour will be available as a 49p pricemarked pack at Bobby’s for 12 months.
Uttley said: “Our research indicated there is a huge affection for Panda among UK mums, but many were not aware that the range contains No Added Sugar and only natural colours and flavours.
”Our new packaging more clearly emphasises these benefits, which we know are a key driver of consumer choice, whilst staying true to the fun nature of the brand.”
The new 250ml Panda juice drinks range will be available in blackcurrant and raspberry flavours (rrp 49), while the Panda Splash range will be available in blackcurrant and orange & pineapple flavours. The Squash range is available in 1ltr Panda tropical and summer fruits flavours.
