Pulled Pork in a Sticky BBQ Sauce has been unveiled as the winning flavour of the Walkers ‘Do Us A Flavour’ campaign.
Created by Paul Rothwell from Westcliff-On-Sea in Essex, the winning flavour was up against five other finalists - Hotdog with Tomato Ketchup, Ranch Raccoon, Cheesy Beans on Toast, Sizzling Steak Fajita and Chip Shop Chicken Curry.
When collecting the £1m prize for creating the new flavour, Rothwell said he chose it as he knew pulled pork was a huge trend in the UK and he’d seen it on countless cooking programmes.
The ‘Do us a Flavour’ campaign received over 1.2m entries and featured chef Marco Pierre White and talent show judge David Walliams working with the Walkers judging panel to decide on the six finalists which were put on sale and up for public vote in July of this year.
The five runners up will each win £10,000 for taking part and all flavours are available for a limited time only following the competition.
