Beechdean Ice Cream Group has signed a new licensing deal with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products to become the UK’s ice cream and frozen desserts category partner for The Simpsons. The firm has launched two 85ml branded ice cream split products in raspberry and strawberry flavours, priced at 90p.
Managing director Andrew Howard says: “We are incredibly excited about introducing our next generation of licensed products inspired by The Simpsons. It’s such a truly fantastic brand with broad generational appeal, and will enable us to genuinely compete with the mainstream ice cream brands in the market today. It has the potential to be a multi-million pound range in the next two to three years.”
The release of the products coincides with the 25th anniversary of the hit cartoon, the same year that Beechdean celebrates its 25th year in business.
