Ben Wiseman, a supply chain graduate at Cadbury, has become the first UK supplier entrant to win the Global Convenience Industry Achievement Award at the NACS exhibition in Chicago.
Ben shook off tough competition from New Zealand, Australia and Canada to take the award with his presentation on innnovations for the convenience market.
In the retail competition, Laura Jupp of Spar UK narrowly missed out on making it a double win for the UK convenience store sector.
“I have gained so much both personally and professionally from taking part in the achievement award and I would definitely recommend it to others,” Laura told C-Store.
Association of Convenience Stores’ chief executive James Lowman said entering the competition is “an excellent experience for the rising stars of the convenience industry”
