Budgens has hit the airwaves with a national summer radio campaign focusing on its range of local products and big brand promotions.
The current campaign runs for just under one week until 5 August across a selection of national radio stations including Smooth FM, Wave FM and Classic FM.
In that time it is expected to reach almost four million adults.
The advert features a Cotswold Banger sausage and strawberries from Warren’s Farm in Somerset. It finishes off by highlighting the fact that Treviso Prosecco is currently available in every Budgens store for the promotional price of £6.49.
Further adverts are planned through the autumn focusing on other popular local produce such as regional cheeses, meats and craft ales, always alongside a strong promotional offer which is available in all stores.
The adverts were designed to drive footfall into stores Budgens marketing director Jo French said. “Our summer campaign builds on our reputation as a brand that supports small, high quality suppliers with a focus on local produce,” she said.
“Our aim with this new advert campaign is to help shoppers discover local foods whilst also reminding them that Budgens stocks the big brands people trust.”
The campaign will be supported by in-store marketing and point of sale. The big brand promotion will feature on posters, banners and leaflets.
