Following their merger earlier this year, Caravan and Sweet Charity have been renamed as GroceryAid.
The charity will offer the best of both welfare services, including making the Caravan welfare helpline (08088 021122) available to all who were involved with Sweet Charity.
The newly-named charity expects to spend £3m over the next 12 months on 5,000 current and former industry people who have fallen on hard times.
The current chair of Caravan trustees, Tony Smith, will stand down at the end of 2012 with Chris Etherington, CEO of Palmer & Harvey, taking on the role. Current director general at Caravan Gillian Barker will assume the same role at GroceryAid.
