Booker chief executive Charles Wilson has been appointed vice president of industry charity GroceryAid.
He joins Andy Higginson, chairman of Morrisons, who has been appointed the charity’s president with effect from 1 July.
Wilson said the charity was “very dear to my heart” and he was excited about working with others to ensure GroceryAid supported people from the trade who were in need “as effectively as possible”.
The two new appointees will build on the legacy of outgoing president Andrew Moore, chief merchandising officer at Asda.
