The Co-operative Food is launching its “most generous ever” national sales promotion which offers customers up to 25% off a future shop.

Shoppers who spend £20 or more between now and January 14 will receive a coupon worth £5 off their next £20 shop at any Co-op store across the UK, valid until January 28.

Steve Murrells, chief executive of The Co-operative Retail, said the promotion was aimed at helping its customers and members during what was a difficult month for many.

“This voucher scheme and our wide range of half price offers mean that at a time when people are reluctant to venture afar because they are dealing with their post-Christmas finances and the winter weather we are offering extremely competitive prices on the full range of everyday items as well as our recently re-invigorated ‘Loved by Us’ range of tasty and delicious food,” he added.

“Uniquely, The Co-operative Food has a store in every UK postal area, with three-quarters of the population living within two miles of a Co-operative store so we really are just around the corner.”
