Two Nestlé chocolate bars are coming to the UK and Ireland with the promise to offer Kitkat and Yorkie fans something ‘more’.
The new duo: Raspberry & Hazelnut KitKat Chunky; and Oats, Apple & Cinnamon Yorkie, come with more fruit, nuts and cereal as well as more protein and fibre. The bars are the first lines to be added to the brand’s More range.
Each bar contains 30% less sugar than similar products and forms part of Nestlé’s ongoing strategy to innovate and develop its confectionery range to provide better choices.
Alex Gonnella, marketing director for Nestlé Confectionery (UK & Ireland), said: “We are really proud of these latest innovations. Whether it is fruit, nuts or oats; the fibre or protein they provide; this range really does offer more and is our next generation of chocolate bars with 30% less sugar. Most importantly, both of them taste fantastic.”
The KitKat Chunky More bar consists of the familiar, crispy Kitkat wafer combined with a thick layer of real fruit and hazelnut pieces; all coated in Kitkat milk chocolate.
Meanwhile, the Yorkie More bar features a blend of crunchy oat clusters, apple pieces and a hint of cinnamon; all coated in Yorkie milk chocolate.
The More range will start to appear in c-stores from October with the debut of Kitkat Chunky More. A larger rollout is planned for later in the year including the Yorkie More bar.
