Conviviality Retail has acquired KMD Enterprises Ltd, which operates 15 convenience stores in the South East of England, for an undisclosed sum.
KMD Enterprises, run by brothers Ashis and Paresh Patel, operates stores under the Nisa Local symbol group mainly in the counties of Surrey, Sussex and Cambridgeshire. Conviviality Retail has confirmed that the majority of the 15 stores will be converted to the Bargain Booze Select Convenience fascia and added to the company’s existing estate of over 700 stores.
David Robinson, managing director of Conviviality Retail, commented: “The acquisition of KMD further strengthens our convenience store business, and again demonstrates our ambitious growth plans in this area.
“These new stores are located in the South East of England and this is an important geographic expansion for Conviviality Retail as our brands are currently underrepresented in this region. We will continue to grow our store estate, partnering with both new and existing franchisees to help them grow their store portfolios with quality, well located retail outlets.
“We look forward to working with all of our new colleagues and helping them serve the communities in which they operate.”
