Dawson News is to invest £9 million over two years in IT systems. The company says its new systems will add to the efficiency of its warehouse management and will be fully rolled out by the summer of 2010.
Managing director John Townley said: "This is a significant development, and clearly indicates our commitment to the news trade and our supply chain customers. "
Dawson's customers are also being offered interest-free credit for purchasing epos systems from Reposs Ltd. "Sales based replenishment (SBR) is driving incremental sales for retailers who provide wholesalers with daily epos sales data," said retail business manager Simon Wilson. "We're keen to encourage independent customers to invest in compatible epos systems through interest-free credit facilities."
