KP Snacks is investing £4m to promote its McCoy’s Muchos range with a new ‘When Mexican Flavour Calls’ TV campaign.
Launching on Easter Monday (22 April), the activity will also include broadcast video-on-demand, digital, out of home and in-store activation running until the end of May.
Introducing the brand to TV for the first time, the new Muchos ads feature Mexican wrestlers, a mariachi band and McCoy’s new brand ambassador DJ Burro.
Claire Cooper, marketing manager at McCoy’s, said: “McCoy’s Muchos has already seen phenomenal growth within the first few weeks of its launch and we’re confident the campaign will drive further appetite for the brand and product. The creative puts a new spin on the iconic ‘When Flavour Calls’ campaign which has become synonymous with full-on flavour in the minds of consumers and we’re excited, not only to see the response from consumers, but also the impact this will have in driving the category forwards.”
McCoy’s Muchos are available to retailers in three flavours; Cool Sour Cream & Onion, Tangy Nacho Cheese and Smokey Chilli Chicken. They come in 8 x 180g packs (rrp £1.80) or 14 x 80g £1 price-marks (PMPs available in Nacho Cheese and Chilli Chicken flavours only).
