The South West-based store chain Heritage Madison has joined Costcutter as it seeks to expand across the region.
Owned by independent retailers Raj Athwal and Ravi Shetra, the group, which is actively looking for new sites and hopes to expand by five stores a year, is currently comprised of 10 former Nisa and Londis stores.
“These stores present a fantastic opportunity to create excellent convenience stores across the South West and with the right symbol partner we hope to build a very profitable portfolio,” Raj Athwal said.
“The Costcutter brand puts us in a strong position from which we can expand our business, creating a much bigger group over the next few years.”
Costcutter sales and development director Jamie Davison said he was delighted with the development. “Working in partnership with Costcutter Raj and Ravi will benefit from leading in-store and support services which give them the control they need to realise their ambitions for the group,” he said.
