Independent retailer Noel Kavanagh has opened a new Budgens store in Eton.
Kavanagh’s Budgens of Eton opened on Thursday 20 August and is the fifth store to open under the Kavanagh name.
The store has an increased fresh range, and includes coffee, breakfast and lunch to go options, as well as expanded local and artisan ranges.
Noel Kavanagh Jnr, managing director of Kavanagh Retailing UK, said: “I am truly excited about opening the doors of our new state-of-the-art store, something the Eton community can be proud of.
“We are family business that operate four other Budgens stores in Surrey and West Sussex. We pride ourselves in providing top quality fresh food, excellent customer services and supporting local suppliers.”
On the launch day the first 50 customers received a free bottle of Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc worth £12.45. Local suppliers also provided customers with samples including Bangors Galore, Real Pie Co, Sipsmith Gin, Cuisine de France and cakes from More Foods.
To promote the launch, 8,500 leaflets have been circulated in the local area including two vouchers offering £5 off when you spend £20 in store.
Mike Baker, Budgens director, said: “Kavanagh’s Budgens of Eton is an exciting prospect, there is a strong focus on store design and key shopping missions with improved bakery and fresh offers. I’m sure this store will be a great success for both Noel and Budgens.”
The store is 3,000 sq ft and will include a Post Office on site from the end of September. Store features include:
- · The popular ‘Cook’ range of premium frozen ready meals
