Spar retailer James Brundle has unveiled his new-look store in Walthamstow, London, following an early spring makeover.
The innovative 2,900 sq ft store, which claimed the top prize at the 2011 Convenience Retail Awards, has been refreshed with a smart new ceiling and open track lighting.
Striking pendant lampshades have been used to create a more premium look in the BWS section - while crisp white paintwork has replaced the former pale green shade.
Bespoke new metal category signposts add a further unique touch whilst helping shoppers navigate the range.
“Working with Spar and our own interior designer we have been able to introduce many of the striking features which exist in our new Hackney store,” James told Convenience Store.
“The work took about a week to carry out and we only had to close for half a day. Customers love the result and the wow factor that the store now has. It was a great store anyway, but in this business you have to keep on innovating,” he added.
The store is also introducing a new in-store pizza menu for the spring, along with a number of new products from small and local suppliers.
