Londis has invested £1m in retailer store developments in the last six months.
In 2014, 100 store development projects have been undertaken. Activity ranged from mini store refits, focusing on fresh and chilled categories, to entire 3,000sq ft developments.
John Pattison, Londis retail director said: “As we know all shoppers are cannier today than ever before, but it’s not just keen prices and offers that they are after.
“Today’s shoppers demand a comprehensive range of goods and services to suit their everyday needs and they expect to find these within a bright, modern shopping environment. Through our co-investment schemes and our store development team’s expertise, we can help local retailers provide all this.”
Ramesh Shingadia, from Horsham, was just one of the retailers supported by Londis this year.
Londis contributed financially to Ramesh’s store development. He said: “The store development team helped me all the way through – from concept to project discussions, to feasibility and execution.
“I was impressed with the store development team’s professionalism and their help resulted in a fantastic transformation for my store, where I’m now experiencing 20% sales growth.”
With £2.3m allocated for further retail projects in 2015, Londis aims to continue their success and help retailers grow their business and cement their position in their local neighbourhoods.
