Former Camelot sales director Steve Lucas has joined Musgrave Retail Partners as sales director for Londis.
Lucas is well known to independent retailers, having spent seven years with the lottery operator. He replaces Garry Craft who has left Musgrave along with former trading director Barry Williams.
The Musgrave Group, which operates under the Londis and Budgens brands in the UK, achieved a 6% sales increase in 2007.
The group's UK retail sales for the year across all its fascias grew by 13% to £2bn, with UK store numbers increasing by 9% to 2,544. Chief executive Chris Martin described the results as "satisfactory" and said: "Through our strategy of developing our business for the long term we have worked hard to create strong brands and a differentiated offer."
