Nisa-Today's has revealed plans for a series of democratically elected regional councils to give members a say in the group's decision-making processes.
A new Nisa National Retail Council will be made up of member representatives from seven regions across the UK. These member representatives will then be responsible for running regional councils in their respective geographic areas.
The Nisa National Retail Council will replace the NRS Board and provide a forum for debate with an advisory role to the Holdings Board.
Nisa-Today's chief executive officer Neil Turton said: "This regional structure provides a truly democratic structure for the first time in Nisa retail and will be an important framework for the Holdings Board to consult members."
Members have been asked to nominate themselves for Nisa Regional Councils. Elections will take place in August and September, with the first meeting planned for November.
