One Stop’s franchise model is going from strength to strength, with stores showing like for like sales growth of more than 9% in the year to date.
Footfall and basket spend in stores which have been trading for more than a year are also up by 4% and 7.4% respectively.
There are now more than 100 franchise stores operating just 15 months since the full roll-out of the operation.
Stores that have switched to the One Stop Franchise model are also showing turnover increases of 18% on their pre-refit figures - excluding seasonality.
These upturns are generally an additional boost to a store’s turnover, having already implemented One Stop’s promotions and ways of working during the transition period building up to a refit, One Stop Franchise director Andrew King said.
“The figures speak for themselves and support the business decision our franchisees have made in joining One Stop,” he added.
“This is only the start of our journey however and it’s our objective to ensure that our franchisees’ businesses continue to grow, both in turnover and profitability.”
Sarjit Dhillon of One Stop’s franchise store in Alderman’s Green, Coventry, has seen his turnover rise by 70% following his move to One Stop and a store extension and refit.
“Our turnover has increased and continues to build steadily. 15% of the sales growth actually came during our transition period, so it was purely down to the promotions being implemented, as well as the gradual introduction of our new product range.
“However things really took off once the store was refitted. Our sales shot up by a further 40% in the first week alone and are still growing,” he said.
