One Stop is trialling a new markdown printer with two of its franchise stores in a bid to save retailers time and boost professionalism.
The printer is used in conjunction with the store’s hand-held terminal (HHT) which suggests the appropriate markdown depending on shelf life and quantity, before creating clearance labels, complete with barcodes, which automatically scan at the till.
Dee Sedani’s One Stop store in Matlock is participating in the trial. “The team love the device, it’s so easy to use,” Dee said. “It gives a clear message to the customer about our reductions and looks really professional. It’s also proving to be a great help in keeping our stock file accurate and up to date, as well as monitoring the financial side of things.”
Following feedback from the trial, franchisees will be able to purchase the HHT markdown printer via One Stop’s ‘Franchisee Services’ package – a range of competitively-priced options aimed at supporting or enhancing their business.
