Appletiser has launched a new premium design for its 250ml cans, tapping into the consumer preference for instant consumption and premium products.
The Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) says that the cans will be available from early March and will replace the 330ml can format. Joining the original variant in this new format will be the Apple and Pomegranate flavour, launching in a can for the first time.
The product will be available in a 69p PMP, helping retailers maximise sales as almost half (43%) of shoppers claim that they’d be more likely to try a new line if it was sold in a PMP according to HIM Shopper Research and Consultancy. The new format will also be available in six can multi-packs to help retailers to tap into future consumption occasions.
Simon Harrison, operational marketing director GB at Coca-Cola European Partners, said: “This latest innovation will appeal to adults looking for a more sophisticated on-the-go choice whilst offering consumers one of their five a day. We’re confident that the new format will help retailers increase their sales of adult soft drinks.”
A social, digital and online media campaign and sampling will support the launch of the new pack format and retailers will receive point of sale material.
