Carrs Foods is launching the first new product under its revamped Baker Street brand – Jumbo Hot Dog Rolls – which have been developed to meet the consumer trend of trading up to larger hot dogs.
Launched in May, in time for the barbecue season, Baker Street Jumbo Hot Dog Rolls are deliciously soft and pre-cut as a time-saving benefit for busy consumers. In addition, the rolls have a minimum shelf life of 40 days, helping consumers to both minimise food waste and save money.
Jeremy Gilboy, managing director at Carrs Foods, said: “Baker Street is all about delivering products that are fresher for longer, a key driver for the brand and this is particularly important for impulsive meal occasions like barbecues.
“It can be quite a challenge to plan ahead for a barbecue or picnic so the fact that our Jumbo Hot Dog Rolls will stay fresh is a real benefit for consumers waiting for the illusive hot weather to enjoy their al fresco eating.”
Available through wholesale and convenience outlets nationwide, including Bestway, Nisa and Appleby Westward, the Jumbo Hot Dog Rolls come in packs of four (RRP £1.69) in the new look Baker Street branding.
The Jumbo Hot Dog Rolls launch is part of a £500K investment that Carrs Foods International has made in its Baker Street brand. The investment encompasses NPD, new branding, packaging and marketing support for the range, which includes 18 different bakery products with a retail value of over £14m.
