The UK’s leading home baking brand, Dr. Oetker, is relaunching its vanilla flavour extract in a larger bottle.

The 95ml vanilla extract is the newest addition to the Dr. Oetker flavours range, replacing the brand’s existing 75ml select vanilla extract.

The new product has a thick consistency and can be added to icings, buttercreams, bakes or desserts.

Jan McKee executive head of marketing at Dr. Oetker UK said: “Vanilla is a staple flavour in every home baker’s cupboard, used in a variety of baking recipes. However we’ve noticed that the larger bottles of vanilla extracts available in retail are more premium products.”

“We wanted to meet this gap in the market and offer consumers a larger product with a competitive price point that is accessible for everyone.”

Vanilla is the most popular extract flavour on the market. It makes up 80% of sales in the flavour market and is growing 18% year on year (IRI, w/e 22/07/17).

The new Dr. Oetker 95ml vanilla extract (rrp £3.49) is available for independent retailers now.
