Nisa-Today’s has reinforced its commitment to provide its members with quality fresh produce with the doubling of its fresh produce supplier base.
Specialising in areas such as exotic fruit and vegetables and salads and organics, six additional suppliers will have direct contact with the grower and will strive to provide the freshest possible produce.
The move follows the recording of Nisa-Today’s highest ever volume on chilled and frozen lines in a one-week period.
The firm’s central distribution trading director John Sharpe said: “The benefits from the success of our fresh and chilled ranges allow us to pass additional benefits on to our members. Having suppliers with close contacts with growers means we have very precise product information and we can ensure consistency of product quality for our members and customers.”
