Belgian chocolate brand Guylian has revealed a further packaging redesign. or its iconic seashell-shaped, hazelnut praliné filled chocolates.
While fully recyclable packaging was first rolled out in 2022, Guylian is marking this year’s Chocolate Week (16–22 October) by removing the plastic film from the outside of boxes, replacing it with a central closure which opens in two parts for easy access to the marbled chocolates.
The brand is strongly committed to cutting waste both in packaging and the production process, it says, with food waste in the production site in Sint-Niklaas at just 0.1%. Its chocolates are also produced with exclusively Fairtrade-certified cocoa, using 100% ingredients of natural origin.
