Kepak has announced the launch of its new Goode & Tucker food-to-go concept, in response to growing demand from customers for hot grab-and-go options.
The new range launches on 8 November at the IGD Food To Go Conference and includes a new ‘plug and play’ hot counter unit and product range, developed to tap into breakfast, lunch and snacking occasions.
Available to convenience stores and forecourts across the UK, the hot food-to-go offer features a bacon & egg breakfast muffin, cheeseburger, chicken & pesto panini and sweet potato & mozzarella Wrap.
The Goode & Tucker concept also includes equipment and marketing for retailers and the brand’s hot counter unit will be available to order in 2019.
Kepak marketing director for foodservice & corporate communications Bláthnaid Ní Fhátharta said: “With the sector expected to be worth £22.8bn by 2022 (IGD 2018), operators who are currently working without a grab and go offering could be missing a significant revenue stream. It’s a highly competitive market and the Kepak food-to-go team looks forward to working with retailers to help them compete with high-street foodservice operators, generate additional footfall and increase food spend in their store.”
