Kraft Foods is running a Cadbury Creme Egg promotion exclusive to independents and symbol groups.
A total of 90 lucky consumers will win between £100 and £1,000 if they find an egg that is missing its trademark goo. The Gooless Egg campaign kicks off on January 1, 2013 for 90 days, and will see one winning egg seeded into a convenience store every day.
Stephanie Sarantakos, brand manager for Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs said: “Convenience stores are the heartland for this traditional Easter treat so we recognise the importance of supporting convenience retailers to promote this well-loved self-eat SKU to consumers during its key sales period.”
Meanwhile, Mini Eggs, and last year’s new launch, Creme Egg Splats, will be available in £1 pricemarked packs this year.
The firm will also be launching Cadbury Egg ‘n’ Spoon (rrp: £3.99) to target at-home family meal occasions. The mousse-filled chocolate eggs are available in milky and chocolate varieties and come packaged inside purple egg boxes with plastic spoons.
