Toblerone is expanding its range with Toblerone Golden featuring golden caramel chocolate. .
The 360g product has an rrp of £6.26 and is described as a perfect gift, which will drive premium sales and encourage trade up.
The new launch will also help retailers tap into more occasions by appealing to younger adult shoppers (Kantar), who have shown an appetite for the caramelised white chocolate used in Toblerone Golden. Caramelised white was the biggest chocolate NPD in 2021 by more than double the second place NPD, worth £18.5m RSV (Nielsen).
Claire Kamara, brand manager for Toblerone at Mondelēz International says: “We are incredibly excited to combine the increasingly popular flavour of caramelised white chocolate with the iconic crunch of Toblerone in a proven consumer-favourite format. We are confident that Toblerone Golden will help the brand to reach even more shoppers and allow retailers drive additional sales this year, given that the caramelised white flavour is 18% incremental to the chocolate category.”
The Toblerone Golden launch will be backed by unmissable PR activity and in-store support. Retailers should range the new single bars in designated confectionery fixtures alongside the existing Toblerone bars to maximise both planned and impulse sales.
