Galaxy Duet cookies & cream, caramel & shortcake, and toffee & popcorn are now all available in a 95g block format, priced at £1.39.
Trade communications manager Bep Dhaliwal says: “Following strong performances from our full range of Galaxy Duet singles, we’re excited to be launching these new large block variants.
“As both treating and sharing occasions continue to become more popular with consumers, new product development (NPD) remains a key driver of growth in the block category. With large block NPD accounting for 70% of NPD value sales in 2015 and Galaxy continuing to hold its place as the fastest growing chocolate brand, we encourage retailers to capitalise on this exciting new development for Galaxy Duet.”
Retailers can create in-store theatre around the new products using a range of point of sale solutions, including pre-filled and front-of-store options.
Mars claims that Galaxy is the nation’s second largest chocolate brand, with a value of £218m, and over the course of 2015 it was the UK’s most advertised chocolate brand with an investment of £18m supporting new product launches, including Galaxy salted caramel and the Galaxy Duet sub-brand.
