Cadbury is adding Boost Bites to its chocolate bags range.
Available from 3 August, Cadbury Boost Bites features bitesize portions of the popular countline and is ideal for sharing with a partner, family or friends for a sweet treat in the evening.
The Cadbury Boost brand is worth £20m and has been within the chocolate singles market for over 30 years. The launch will be supported with impactful in-store and digital activity.
The chocolate bags segment, currently worth £447.6m, has been one of the key drivers of total chocolate growth outperforming the category continuously for four years [Nielsen, Value MAT to w/e 18.04.2015]. This trend is set to continue in 2015 and already has a strong segment growth of 13.5 per cent, claims Mondelez International.
Marketing director Matthew Williams says: “The new format is a great new way to enjoy the taste of Boost, which we believe can unlock incremental sales.
“We’ve seen great success with the introduction of other Cadbury brands into the bitesize category including Cadbury Dairy Milk Marvellous Mix-Ups, Cadbury Bitsa Wispa and Cadbury Twirl Bites, which was voted Product of the Year in 2013, so we hope this latest launch will allow retailers to capitalise on chocolate bag sales.”
Cadbury Boost Bites will be available in 108g bags priced at £1.99.
