Nairn’s, the UK’s favourite branded gluten free biscuit producer (Mintel Free From Report 2017), has further expanded its offering with new Gluten Free Chunky Biscuit Breaks.
The two new lines - dark chocolate & coconut and blueberry & raspberry - are chunkier in texture and have more visible chocolate and fruit chunks. Like the rest of the Nairn’s family, these two new additions are lower in sugar than other gluten free sweet options on the market, containing at least 35% less sugar than the average gluten free sweet biscuit. There is only around 64 calories per biscuit.
A box contains four pouches of three biscuits and comes with an rrp of £1.79.
Conveniently packed in pouches of three, Nairn’s Gluten Free Chunky Biscuit Breaks tap into the growing ‘snackification’ trend, making them ideal for retailers looking to meet demand for tasty, natural snacks that can be eaten on-the-go.
Paddy Cronin, sales director at Nairn’s Oatcakes, said: “As lifestylers choosing to follow a gluten free diet continue to boost the category, our gluten free range continues to go from strength to strength – we’re adding to it all the time now that we have the capacity at our new state-of-the-art gluten-free bakery which opened last November.
”The Biscuit Break range has become one of our key gluten free lines and as consumers look for new and different products from established, trusted brands we have created a chunky Biscuit Break as something a little bit different to the core range. They are lighter and more crumbly and have lots of flavour with more visible inclusions that add to both taste and texture – perfect for those looking to have something a little chunkier to have with a hot drink.”
