Confectionery giant Nestle is hoping to crack Easter with dark chocolate After Eight mini eggs and two new shell eggs from Kit Kat Chunky, one of which is in partnership with Lotus Biscoff.
The After Eight Dark Mint Chocolate Mini Eggs Sharing Bag (rrp £1) is due to hit UK shelves this February. The individually wrapped eggs have a dark chocolate shell and peppermint flavoured fondant centre. They will be available at selected stores, including Spar.
What’s more, KitKat has teamed up with caramelised biscuit brand Lotus Biscoff to launch a KitKat Chunky Lotus Biscoff Easter Egg. The product offers chocolate lovers their first chance to try the KitKat Chunky Lotus Biscoff Bar, which is brand new to the UK market. The newest Chunky flavour features the brand’s trademark wafer topped with a Lotus Biscoff filling, covered with milk chocolate. The KitKat Chunky Lotus Biscoff Giant Easter Egg (rrp £5) contains a milk chocolate egg and three bars of KitKat Chunky with Lotus Biscoff pieces. It will be available at Budgens, Londis, Premier and Tesco.
The brand has also unveiled the KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Popcorn Incredible Chocolate Easter Egg (rrp £10). This comprises a salted caramel-infused chocolate shell egg with salted caramel and popcorn pieces and three KitKat Chunky Salted Caramel Popcorn bars, available from select stores, including Co-op.
Like the rest of Nestlé’s confectionery range, KitKat and After Eight are made using 100% certified sustainable cocoa, sourced through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan in conjunction with the Rainforest Alliance and contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
