Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats is adding a burst of colour to the cookie aisle with the launch of Cookies with Chocolate M&M’s minis.
It follows the brand’s confectionery launch, supported by a marketing investment of £2.8 million. Each cookie contains the new M&M’s minis, adding crunch, chocolate and colour.
Data from researchers Kantar shows that more than 63% of big cookies are currently purchased by older consumers, whereas M&M’s shoppers are considerably younger, with almost 60% being purchased by young families or older dependents.
With that in mind, Michelle Frost, general manager at Mars Chocolate Drinks and Treats says: “We anticipate the launch will attract a new, younger shopper to the cookie aisle. We believe we have an enticing consumer proposition, with M&M’s being the biggest chocolate brand globally - a fantastic tasting product with eye-catching packing.”
Cookies with M&M’s minis are available now in 180g grocery and 144g convenience packs, with an rrp of £1.90 and £1.99 respectively.
