The Otter Brewery in Honiton, Devon, has introduced a bottled version of its Otter Amber ale. Featuring its latest eye-catching packaging for greater on-shelf impact, it is the latest of the brewery’s ales to become available in bottles, now totalling a set of five different lines available for retailers.
The Amber ale has been crafted to give a “full-bodied, mid gravity, 4.0% abv ale that will appeal to a wide range of drinkers,” the brewer says. By combining American Willamette hops to inject a fruity, floral flavour and Cara malt to provide body, it bridges the gap between new radicals craving American hops and more traditional ale connoisseurs.
The brewery’s bottled fresh ales provide retailers with an excellent opportunity to expand their UK beer selection at a time when consumers are looking for different options. Patrick McCaig, managing director of Otter Brewery, said: “Amber ales have seen a huge jump in popularity in recent years, with drinkers keen to broaden their palette. Otter Amber has proven to be one of our best-selling cask ales since it launched and we’ve had numerous requests to release the fan-favourite in bottles to enjoy at home.”
