Pernod Ricard is set to launch its Oddka range of vodkas with unusual flavours to the UK market.

Billed as “quirky vodka for the younger consumer”, the range will be available in five variants: Freshly Cut Grass, Electricity, Salty Caramel Popcorn, Melon and Peach. The range was launched into the US market in 2012.

The Electricity variant will have an ABV of 30% and an rrp of £11.49 while the rest of the range has a 20% ABV and will be priced at £9.49. The range will be launched across all channels from September and will be supported by a marketing campaign including sampling, POS materials and coupons.

Pernod Ricard is also hoping to capitalise on the premium brandy sector with the UK launch of Domecq 1820, a Spanish brandy with a 36% ABV that will be available in 50cl bottles (rrp: £14.00) from October. Aimed at older males, it is hoped this launch will modernise the UK brandy market.
