Premier Foods is adding two limited edition football themed treats to its popular Cadbury Cakes line up.
Available now, Cadbury Football Cakes (rrp £2 for four) and Cadbury Football Gateau (rrp £3.00, serves eight) feature themed packaging and a football emblem on each cake.
The match winning cakes lend themselves to secondary siting opportunities in-store, helping retailers drive additional sales at a time when people will be on the lookout for football themed products during the World Cup.
Carolyn Longcroft, senior brand manager for Cadbury Cakes at Premier Foods, said: “Cadbury Cakes is famed for its seasonal products which really help to drive category sales. We wanted to make sure we were giving retailers the chance to replicate this success over the summer period, particularly as the upcoming football tournament will give sports fans even more reason to get together.
