Perfetti Van Melle is giving Mentos chewing gum a re-sealable pouch after consumer research found that stick packs are not people’s preferred choice. “Consumers told us that most packaging formats available at the moment felt like a compromise,” says brand manager Claire Powley. “Whilst stick packs have long been the norm, consumers told us that the gum falls out in their pockets and there is a perception that it tends to go stale.” The new packs are available in Fresh Mint and Spearmint flavours and with an rrp of 59p.
