With winter on the way, the popularity of mint flavoured products is set to surge, according to Unilever, which is launching take-home packs of mint Cornettos.
“Flavour is the most important purchase driver in the Ice Cream category,” says brand manager Brigitta Holland. “Mint flavour ice cream is back on trend and mint multipacks have grown by 14.6% in the last year, outperforming total multipacks, which grew by 6.7%. Within this, there is a gap in the market for a branded filled cone, which the Cornetto Mint four-pack will tap into, bringing additional sales opportunities for retailers considering the product’s proven success in the Impulse Channel.”
The £1.99 packs flag up the product’s appearance in recent box office hit The World’s End, which is set for DVD release next month.
