Symbol group Spar has announced the introcution of a new range of freeze-dried sweets.
Capitalising on the freeze-dried craze, the range has been developed by confectionery manufacturer Bebeto, and offers shoppers a “unique, crunchy twist on classic candies at a competitive price.” Available 1 November, the Freeze Crunchy range consists of three 35g varieties - Watermelon, Peach Rings and Marshmallow Twist.
Gemma Turner, Spar UK trading manager, said: “Freeze-dried snacks are growing in popularity due to their unique texture and intense flavour, making an opportunity for Spar stores to satisfy consumer demand for on-the-go treats. Freeze-dried sweets are a major trend this year, and we’re proud to give our stores the chance to be first to market with this range.”
The range will also be available in Scottish Co-op stores and via Parfetts cash and carry.
