Independent confectionery suppliers Stockley’s have announced the addition of two lines for the Christmas market this year, branded under their own name. The first is a bottle of bubbles – or sort of – in the form of Salted Caramel Malt Balls, while a Sweet Shop Collection features eight classics including Mint Humbugs, Pear Drops and more. Both new lines carry an rrp of £20.
Stockley’s is undergoing something of a regeneration with the UK’s handcrafted sweets movement of late, and as a long-term member of what it calls the ‘behind the scenes artisanal confectionery community’ its story began back in 1918. Now, it says, its own branding is coming to the fore.
Head of marketing, Andy Valentine, said: “Whilst we’re proud of our hard-earned reputation for sweets excellence, we felt it was time that the public to put a name to the face, which is why this Autumn will see the arrival of some gifting and speciality offers where the Stockley’s name will sit loud, proud and centre.”
