Unilever is launching its Love Beauty and Planet range, the company’s first new personal care brand in 20 years, into convenience stores.
Inspired by Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan, the new beauty brand features six hair, face and body care products in variants such as Murumuru Butter & Rose, Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower and Coconut Oil & Ylang Ylang (rrp £5.99 - £9.99).
With ethical and sustainable ingredients, vegan-friendly formulations and bottles that are 100% recycled and recyclable, Love Beauty and Planet is designed to meet rising demand from consumers who are looking for more environmentally-responsible products.
As part of its commitment to the environment, the brand will publish its annual carbon footprint each year and is looking to reduce its carbon footprint by 20% by 2020. Love Beauty and Planet will also put a tax on the carbon it emits, contributing to a Carbon Tax Fund.
