Battery brand Varta has launched a new rechargable range, which includes lines made from 11% recycled materials.
The environmentally-focused ACCU line-up can be recharged up to 3,500 times and the batteries are ready to use from packaging.
Furthermore, the new products recharge in five hours and do not lose charge when not in use – with up to 75% of their power remaining after 12 months.
Clare Rix, trade marketing manager at Varta, said: “Varta has been offering consumers the chance to reduce their impact on the environment with rechargeable batteries for many years, but this exciting new range takes this one step further. Recycled batteries are an exciting addition to our product offering and deliver convenience, power and a reduction in waste to tick all consumers’ boxes.
“We’re proud to offer consumers such a range of choice, not just in the most sought after battery sizes and capacities, but now in terms of material source. We understand consumers are becoming ever more educated on environmental issues and brands must continue to evolve to meet their needs and minimise their impact on our planet.”
The Varta Recharge ACCU range includes three skus: Endless, Power and Recycled. All are available in AA and AAA formats with an rrp of £12.99.
