Vegan milkshake-inspired liqueur enters convenience

Yorkshire-based wholesaler Continental Wine & Food has introduced a vegan cream liqueur brand to its portfolio. 

Milkshake-inspired Lacey’s Vodkashake (RRP £12) is available in two flavours - banana and strawberry. 

The cream based liqueur is blended with vodka and natural fruit flavours and is gluten and dairy free. It can be served as chilled shots or added to boozy milkshakes or creamy cocktails, the wholesaler recommended.

It said the new brand is set to “redefine the creamy liqueur category” and ”shake up the sector”.

Amy Giacobbi, marketing manager at Continental Wine & Food, commented: “The two Lacey’s Vodkashake variants have instant shelf-appeal and are a great addition to your chillers for the warmer months, as well as the Christmas sales period.

”Additionally, with 10% of UK adults being lactose intolerant along with consumers choosing a plant-based diet, it’s great to offer a drink that appeals to so many people.”
