Walkers is expanding its core crisps line-up with the launch of two on-trend flavours; BBQ Pulled Pork; and Spicy Sriracha.
The new products will be available throughout 2019 in singles (rrp £0.65 per 40g), six packs, 14 packs and 24 packs (rrp £1.50, £3 and £4 respectively).
The taste of the flavours has been influenced by American and Thailand cuisine. Both new additions will also sport Walkers’ newly refreshed packaging, which is designed to give the packs greater shelf stand-out.
Furthermore, a TV and digital marketing campaign featuring brand ambassador Gary Lineker, alongside a new celebrity guest, will support the launch alongside in-store activation, POS and sampling.
Walkers claims Britain’s taste palate is evolving and unique flavours are becoming increasingly mainstream. According to GlobalData research, 45% of UK shoppers are likely to experiment with new flavours.

“We have seen excellent results from our consumer testing, with 95% of consumers saying they would purchase BBQ Pulled Pork, and 90% of consumers saying they would purchase Spicy Sriracha. We are very proud of these new flavours and expect strong sales for retailers.”
