Family firm Walker’s Nonsuch has unveiled a salted caramel twist wrapped toffee. The sweets are made with whole milk, butter, a natural caramel flavour and Anglesey Sea Salt, which has protected designation of origin status.
Salted Caramel Toffees are available in 150g packs (rrp £1.50), 1.25kg gifting jars (rrp £10) and 2.5kg bulk bags.
The new variety was developed by Jonathan Rae, grandson of the late Mr Ian Walker, who recently passed away. Bright blue and metallic bronze packaging gives the toffees a modern appearance and differentiates the newcomer from the other twelve varieties available.
Export sales director Emma Walker said: “Salted Caramel has become one of the nation’s favourite tastes over the last twelve months. Combined with our creamy toffees it gives a taste and chew second to none.”
Walker’s Nonsuch dates back to 1894 and today the complete range includes toffee bars, slabs and bags in different weights to suit different markets. All Walker’s Toffee is free from artificial colours, preservatives, hydrogenated vegetable oil, and gluten too.
