A partnership with Vapouriz has had a positive effect on sales of vaping products at Oli Lodge’s Londis service station in Waterlooville, Hampshire.
He says: “We have just partnered with the Vapouriz Group to open a Vapestore shop within our store, which is completely dedicated to selling vaping products.
“It’s about 300sq ft. in size and is one of the first to open in the country. It has only been running for about a week, so it is really early to judge, but vape sales have already tripled and generated £3,000 in revenue over the first seven days of trading.
“We are really happy with the results so far. The hope is that that sales will keep on rising and the Vapestore will drive people into the store and have a positive effect on sales in other categories.
“The plan is to create similiar space for vaping across our four other sites in the Solent and Somerset. We want to make sure that the model we use suits the size of each of our stores. In Waterlooville, we now only sell vaping product through the vape store.
“Over the next few weeks, we are looking to install a gantry and a small display cabinet at our Meon Hut service station, which will offer a smaller range with the same Vapestore branding.
“It has been a fast-paced venture with Vapouriz, with initial conversations to opening the first store within a store taking only eight weeks. The company’s tea have been great to work with and understand what we need as a business.
“All the staff have been fully trained by Vapestore experts and they all spent a day with the trainers up at their head office. It is really important that staff can answer all the questions that customers might have about the products. Those working in the area will also be dressed in Vapestore uniforms.”
“The whole venture helps us stand out and means we can take advantage of our service station loaction, which offers other services like a car wash and free parking - things you just don’t get on the high street, which is where the vape stores usually open.
“Our partnership with Vapouriz, and their store within a store format, means we can offer vaping customers the ultimate in convenience that they can’t get anywhere else.”
Star performers: “We are a small forecourt site so we always do well from traditional CTN categories like soft drinks and confectionery.”
“The partnership with Vapouriz has allowed us to introduce lots of their new e-liquids and offer a much greater range than before. We’ve been able to stock more of the brands and equipment that vaping customers in our area have come to expect.”
Successful NPD
Vapouriz lauched its latest flavoured e-liquid flavour from its Double Drip brand earlier this month.
The fizzy cherry cola bottles product is available to convenience stores now in 3mg and 6mg bottles. With an rrp of £4.99, the new e-liquid offers retailers a POR in excess of 56%.
The cherry cola variant is the 14th flavour to be added to the Double Drip line-up. All of the brand’s products are manufactured by Vapouriz in Surrey, using ingredients sourced from trusted suppliers.
The launch of Double Drip fizzy cherry cola bottles follows the roll-out of the brand’s first nicotine salts range in November last year, which included the following seven flavours: super berry sherbet; crystal mist; menthol mist; lemon sherbet; cherry bakewell; raspberry sherbet and mango raspberry ice cream.
