Wrigley is adding a resealable 21 piece hanging bag to its Extra sugarfree gum range.
Available from August 14, Extra hanging bags have an rrp of £1 and come in two best-selling core flavours: peppermint and spearmint. The packs are also available in £1 pricemarked bags, which Wrigley believes will help retailers to drive rate of sale by demonstrating great value.
Following consumer demand for bigger versatile packs, the new format offers consumers a convenient way to freshen breath on the go, wherever they are. The handy bag can be slotted into pockets, enjoyed in cars or stored in handbags – ideal for consumers wanting a fresh mouth and clean teeth at any time of the day.
The Extra hanging bag provides flexible merchandising with a hook, allowing it be positioned on a clip strip, and giving retailers the ability to interrupt shoppers at different locations throughout the store. For example, placing gum close to food to go meal deal options or hot beverages will increase sales opportunities for retailers, suggests Wrigley.
The launch will benefit from the halo effect of the new Extra ‘Time to Shine’ TV campaign which is on air throughout the year. Branded POS material is available to retailers as well as clip strips, to help drive awareness in store.
