Nestlé Confectionery’s Yorkie bar is bringing back its ‘win a full tank of fuel’ on-pack promotion for the third year running. One hundred winning tickets have been hidden in promotional packs, and by going to the Yorkie Fuel website and entering the code found on the inside of promotional packs, shoppers have a further fifty chances to win a full tank of fuel plus thousands of standard Yorkie bars.
James Maxton, Nestlé UK & Ireland senior corporate communications manager, said:“The Yorkie Fuel promotion provides a great opportunity for retailers to drive impulse sales, particularly with Yorkie’s target audience of young men. With fuel costs continuing to increase this is an extremely motivating promotion, which has proved successful over the past two years. Our philosophy is therefore is ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ and we are delighted to be running this promotion for the third year. Our advice to retailers looking to capitalise on the Yorkie Fuel promotion is simply to display promotional packs prominently in-store where shoppers cannot miss them.”
Nestlé claims that Yorkie is the fastest growing ‘hunger brand’ in the UK, up 36%, and attracting over two million new households to the brand in the last year.
The Yorkie ‘Man Fuel for Man Stuff’ TV advert will drive brand awareness to support the promotion, and is focussed on talking to men within the TV channels and programmes they watch the most.
