Jatinder I agree with your frustration and the symbols will have to make note. However you are in the minority providing the loyalty whilst the symbol is not meeting your expectation. The majority of retailers have only a wholesale relationship with their symbol partner. That model is not cost effective and cannot be sustained. It will have to change. I haven’t got all the answers to how the symbols should proceed but it’s quite clear that One Stop has set the bench mark for that relationship. Provide loyalty and standards and we will do the rest! It is also clear that ONE STOP cannot meet all the demographics in spite of being a good operator. It’s a model that works for some but others will have to look for a different solution.
As for the NRC chairs “jumping ship”, there is no conspiracy theory here, just progressive retailers making their own decisions.
